3/4 Sleeve Scoopneck Organic Sweater
Finding a quality women's organic sweater can often be challenging. Not here. Fair Indigo's Egyptian cotton organic sweater line is quite simply one of the best values in organic clothing you'll find.
Organic cotton is spun into amazingly soft yarns at an Italian mill and dyed without the use of carcinogenic or allergenic chemicals including Formaldehyde. Better still, we work with a 30-year small family business in Montevideo, Uruguay that has been making fair trade sweaters before they had even heard of fair trade (read more below).
Flattering scoopneck, three quarter sleeves, organic softness that almost rivals cashmere.
100% organic cotton. Machine wash.

What makes it fair?
Hidden among Montevideo, Uruguay's stunning Spanish Colonial architecture, we were pleased to find a real fair trade gem in the family-owned factory where workers have crafted beautiful sweaters for over 30 years. Workers here earn a fair wage plus a month's paid vacation, loan assistance, even five month's paid maternity leave. The high retention rate speaks volumes: one-third of employees have worked here for a decade or more. The father and son team who run the business recently won an innovation award and $10,000 grant from the Uruguay government. As anyone who knows them could guess, Gregorio and Andres split the money with the employees of the factory.
