Alpaca Hand Knit Peacock Cardigan
Extremely rare and exceptionally beautiful. Using the technique of intarsia knitting, each color is knit in a separate piece then fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. It's nearly a lost art that requires almost three days to complete a single sweater. Hand-crocheted neckline and placket and hand-painted buttons complete the sweater. A true piece of art in shades of blue, teal, green and brown.
40% Alpaca 40% Acrylic 20% Wool. Hand wash or dry clean.
Made fairly in Peru.

What makes it fair?
Tabask was founded in 2001 by Mary Ann Weerts with a vision to create unique handcrafted clothing and accessories for women. Key components of that vision include a commitment to natural, sustainable fibers such as alpaca, wool and cotton and to work only with factories and co-ops that subscribed to the principles of Fair Trade Labor. Under the design direction of Mary Ann, Tabask has become a company recognized for its vibrant, textural collections of finely crafted women's sweaters, jackets, and accessories. Working with the skilled artisans of Peru, many of whom are located high in the Andes mountains, has been an emotionally rewarding journey. A wonderful journey that we hope will continue for a long time.
