What makes it fair?
Sandy Martin is the founder and president of Green 3 Apparel located nearby in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Growing up on a farm and later working in the apparel industry traveling all over the world, Sandy came to know firsthand the effects of the industry on farmers, workers, communities, and the environment. Rather than continue to watch, Sandy and her husband Jim, a fellow apparel industry veteran set out on a course to create a cleaner more humane way of doing business.
Part of Green 3's mission is to create a market for recycled and scrap materials. By collecting scraps from upholstery factories throughout the US, Green 3 is able to provide work to a sewing facility in Binghamton, New York where scraps of cotton and acrylic are turned into beautiful first quality goods.
