What makes it fair?

This Peruvian factory understands fair trade. In addition to fair wages, employees earn a generous bonus each year as part of a profit-sharing program. This is what fair trade is all about--sharing the wealth. There is also a free homemade hot lunch and a doctor onsite every day free of charge to all employees. We were equally impressed by their incredible attention to detail and quality. This factory stands out from Peru's vast "informal" underground of apparel makers.
