Fair Indigo Premium Fabrics
Peruvian Pima cotton is one of the softest yet strongest on earth – your faux wrap skirt will feel wonderfully soft out of the bag and endure beautifully for years with minimal pilling or shrinking. The ingenuity of our organic interlock fabric is its ability to stretch and retain shape beautifully without spandex. This is called mechanical stretch – achieved by the structure of the knitted yarns themselves. It’s also washed before the garment is cut and sewn, an uncommon but very worthwhile process. It not only insures your skirt won’t shrink, but also prevents puckering and twisting around seams that often happens in your dryer when fabric shrinks but threads don’t.

How does it do good?
Our non-GMO organic cotton is grown on a family-owned farm in the climactically perfect Ica region of Peru. It’s then milled and knit in GOTS certified mills that are leaders in earth-friendly practices. Our dyes are Oeko-tex certified - gentle on the earth, farmers, garment workers, and you. The skirts are meticulously fashioned in a small fair trade workshop where employees are paid fairly and treated, like family, with dignity and respect.

I never look good in skirts... Part Two
Another winner from Fair Indigo. I bought the navy in size L. It really doesn't fly open, despite the flap. A lot of the skirts I've had in the past look bad (too tight around the hips or just frumpy looking in general), but this is loose enough to look good without being bulky. I love how feminine this looks, I think it has to do with the hem. It isn't a straight hem, it ripples a bit. And, as always, soft soft soft!

Don't hold back because of the picture. It doesn't gap
Despite loving the length and design elements of this skirt, I was sure this skirt wouldn't work for me. I have struggled with wrap skirts flying open and being more revealing than I was comfortable with. From the mail photo I assumed this would be a major problem with this skirt as well. However my old brown skirt had completely warn out, and I had failed to find something to replace it with 2nd hand, and I saw this skirt was on sale, I took the risk. Because of my skin sensitivities this is one of the few companies I can order from without fear about the fabric. I planned to just sew the front down. Yesterday I wore it as is on a very busy day and in high wind weather. It was fantastic. I never flew open. It never gaped. No one saw my thighs. It was utterly perfect. If you are also hesitant to get this skirt because of the main photo, don't be.
