ORGANIC COTTON CERTIFICATION / GOTS CERTIFIED YARNS
Fair Indigo's organic cotton is grown on two family farms in the Pisco and Chiclayo regions of Peru. These farms are owned and operated by the same family that owns and manages our fair trade workshop in Lima and are certified organic by a handful of globally respected organizations. The yarns produced from the cotton are GOTS-certified.
SAFE DYES CERTIFICATION
Fair Indigo's uses only the safest commercially available dyes in the market, certified by organizations like Oek-tex. The certification process includes thorough testing on over 100 harmful chemicals including lead, arsenic, formaldehyde, azo-dyes, and heavy metals that are harmful to people and the environment.

A sustainable minimalist closet starts with go-to pieces like our Long Sleeve Scoop Neck Tee. Customers have been raving about it since its introduction in 2010. We worked hard to perfect the beautiful scoop neckline, finishing it with a fine rib trim that helps hold its shape. The cut has just enough gentle shaping through the body.

Organic Pima Cotton: the best cotton on the planet
Why will your organic cotton t-shirt feel heavenly soft right out of the bag and endure beautifully for years? Because we use the top 0.005% (not a typo) of cotton available. Softest and strongest aren't often used to describe a single fiber. Except when it's organic Peruvian Pima cotton. Ours is grown on two family farms and harvested with care by hand. Learn More
All of our dyes are certified to the most stringent safety standards such as the Oeko-tex 100 standard. They're tested for literally hundreds dangerous substances like Azo colorants, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol, cadmium, and nickel. Our dyes meet or exceed the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) regarding lead and the European Chemical Regulation (REACh).

A saner wardrobe that makes use of timeless 'forever in fashion' pieces you'll go back to time and again. That's why we build in quality - from the cotton and dyes we select to the extra processes we implement to create a garment you'll love for years. Buy better, buy less, live fully. Learn More
What we wear matters
Often when apparel brands talk about sustainability, they are talking about making clothing that respects the environment and its limited resources - something to be applauded for sure. But at Fair Indigo, it also means sustainable lives for the world's garment workers. And a sustainable business model that prices clothing fairly, not too-good-to-be-true low (a signal the people were left out of the equation) nor artificially high to promote a future 70% off sale. It's time to move beyond fast fashion. For good. Learn More
Doing good is easy
In addition to living wage jobs, we believe the key to transforming communities from poverty to prosperity is education. The Fair Indigo Foundation funds teachers' salaries, books, building improvements, and computer labs for children who otherwise were being left behind. And it's so easy to make a big difference - just check the $5 donation box at checkout. Your $5 donations have literally transformed the lives of children, their families, and their community.
