A cocoon of delicious warmth, yet this sweater jacket's longer silhouette is slim and lightweight – doesn't overwhelm or overheat like many long cardigans can.

  • 85% conventional cotton, 15% alpaca
  • Machine wash gentle, lay flat to dry
  • 30-inch length (size Medium)
  • Relaxed fit
  • Fairly made in Lima, Peru
Fair Indigo Premium Materials
It’s incredible what adding 15% baby alpaca does for a cotton sweater. The result is a bit lighter, but significantly warmer, with a lustrous and beautiful drape. Our cotton/alpaca blend is an innovative fusion of yarns you won’t find anywhere else.
How does it do good?
Unlike cashmere, which has become environmentally disastrous and reliant on factory farms, our alpaca is sustainably herded in the Peruvian Andes where families have been tending their herds in the same time-honored methods for hundreds of years. The garments are knit in a small fair trade workshop where workers are paid fairly and treated with respect and dignity.

Sizing & Fit

To ensure you get the best fit for your body type and fit preference, use the charts below. For best results, measure over undergarments at fullest part of your bust, at the natural bend in your waist (usually an inch or two above your belly button), and at the fullest part of your hip.

Relaxed Fit - has more room through the body and generally provides a looser fit without being the least bit boxy.

  • Bust : XS: 35, S: 37, M: 39, L: 42, XL: 45
  • Hip : XS: 40, S: 42, M: 44, L: 47, XL: 50
  • Length : XS: 29, S: 29.5, M: 30, L: 30.75, XL: 31.5

Large sizing
I purchased a large and it has plenty of room. I usually choose XL as I am 165 and 5' 2 . I love the feel of this. I don't like things to drape on me and appreciate the sturdier weave. It's a gorgeous garment and much more warmth than plain cotton sweater. I just ordered one for my daughter

Nice Sweater But Not Soft
I’m 5’9” and 140 pounds, and I bought the gray sweater in size medium. It fits nicely, but is a bit boxy so I wear it with black leggings to balance things out. I like the sweater, however, I expected it to be softer with the baby alpaca fibers. It feels like a typical cotton sweater and isn’t as soft as I had hoped, but it is well made and nice in general.

Slightly disappointed
I usually wear a medium and based on the look of the sweater, decided to go for a small. It is still a bit boxy feeling, especially in the arms. They also are slightly too long. I do like how it curves around my bottom though rather than flaring out like some sweaters do. Pretty warm though and I love the color so I will keep it. I also noticed the tag of other garments indicate they used environmentally friendly dyes but this one did not. Not sure if it's an oversight, just a thought.

lovely but boxy for petites
I bought this in Navy XS during the Summer Sale. It was beautiful and cozy. However, it was boxy and too large for my small frame... and unflattering for a work setting. I was sad to send it back. I have several Fair Indigo pieces and am very pleased with this company and their products. This one just doesn't work for petite ladies.
