  • 100% organic Tanguis cotton yarns
  • Oeko-tex certified earth- and baby-safe dyes
  • Fits most babies' heads from newborn up to 12 months
  • Machine wash
  • Fairly hand knit in small Peruvian cooperatives
Fair Indigo Premium Materials
While we select Peruvian Pima cotton for most of our garments, the ideal cotton for sweaters and sweater knit accessories like this hat is Pima’s close cousin - Tanguis. Because sweaters employ a looser and different type of knit than fabric garments, the slightly thicker fibers of Tanguis cotton are ideal for fashioning incredibly soft but strong and long-lasting heirloom-quality hats.

How does it do good?
Our organic cotton is grown without GMO's on a small family-owned farm in the climactically perfect Ica region of Peru. The dyes are Oeko-tex certified - gentle on the earth, farmers, knitters, and baby. The organic baby hats are meticulously knit in small, worker-owned cooperatives throughout Peru, providing steady income and a better life for some of Peru's poorest citizens.
