recycled plastic shipping bags

Why recycled plastic shipping bags?

There is no such thing as perfect packaging. But when we looked closely at the full environmental impact - from raw materials to transportation to real-world reuse - recycled plastic tuned out to be the most responsible option for shipping our clothing.

Plastic glut. The world has a massive surplus of plastic waste. Much more so than paper. Recycling only works if there's real demand for recycled materials. Using recycled plastic turns waste into a productive end use.

Less energy. Making recycled plastic requires less energy than producing recycled paper, which involves pulping, drying, and water-intensive processing.

Far less water. Paper recycling is extremely water-heavy. Plastic recycling uses a fraction of the water.

Lower carbon footprint per shipment. Plastic mailers are lighter than paper ones. It may not seem like by a lot, but in bulk it adds up to considerably less fuel usage on an annual basis.

Water-resistant without chemical coating. Paper mailers require sealing chemicals to protect them from moisture damage en route.

Durable/Reusable. Research shows that plastic bags are much more likely to be reused than paper ones.

Fully recyclable. Our bags are fully recyclable anywhere you can recycled common plastic grocery bags.
