Ingenious! Stretch without spandex
This garment's fabric: Luxe
Our signature all-cotton interlock Luxe is incredibly soft & silky. but its ingenuity is its ability to stretch without spandex. This is called mechanical stretch, achieved by the meticulously designed structure of the yarns. The fabric is washed before it's cut and sewn, an uncommon but very beneficial step. It minimizes shrinking over time (when following care instructions) and also prevents puckering and twisting around seams that often happens in your dryer when sewing threads shrink but fabric doesn't. Luxe fabric is used on many of our dresses, our all-cotton leggings, and in our most luxurious t-shirts. True investment-quality fabric!
Organic Pima Cotton: the best on earth
Why will your organic cotton clothing feel otherworldly soft right out of the bag and endure beautifully for years? Because we use the top 0.05% (not a typo) of cotton available. Softest and strongest aren't often used to describe a single fiber. Except when it's organic Peruvian Pima cotton. Ours is grown on two family farms and harvested with care by hand. Simply the best cotton you'll find anywhere on the planet.

All of our dyes are certified to the most stringent safety standards such as the Oeko-tex 100 standard. They're tested for literally hundreds of dangerous substances like Azo colorants, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol, cadmium, and nickel. Our dyes meet or exceed the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) regarding lead and the European Chemical Regulation (REACh).

"The deep teal color is great and flattering on my very pale olive complexion. It is one of my 2 favorite colors that Fair Indigo offers and I'd buy more in this colorway if I could. The boatneck opening hits perfectly on the top of shoulders to not show my brastrap and the material is very soft and comfortable. It's as warm as expected, but still breathable since it's 100% cotton. It has washed well in warm water and didn't shrink in the dryer."

"I’m obsessed with this fabric. It’s so soft and luxurious. The deep teal is a beautiful dark green with a hint of blue. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the boat neck since this is my first boat neck tee, but it’s growing on me. The shirt is a little long on my 5’4” frame but I’d rather it be long than short."

"I own several of the half sleeve boatneck shirts, but wanted a long sleeve option. (The half sleeve gets bunchy when I put jackets and sweaters on over it. ) This long sleeve shirt is made of a different fabric, so I was wary when ordering. However, I truly love this style and fabric. There is no spandex in this one. I bought my usual Fair Indigo size. The 100% cotton fabric is soft and flexible, not heavy at all yet still cozy. I plan to save up to buy another one or two; they're great. The colors are deep and versatile. I also love the shaped but non-binding cuffs. A real winner — a classic style. I'll be back for more."
