Our signature all-cotton interlock Luxe is incredibly soft & silky. but its ingenuity is its ability to stretch without spandex. This is called mechanical stretch, achieved by the meticulously designed structure of the yarns. The fabric is washed before it's cut and sewn, an uncommon but very beneficial step. It minimizes shrinking over time (when following care instructions) and also prevents puckering and twisting around seams that often happens in your dryer when sewing threads shrink but fabric doesn't. Luxe fabric is used on many of our dresses, our all-cotton leggings, and in our most luxurious t-shirts. True investment-quality fabric!

All of our dyes are certified to the most stringent safety standards such as the Oeko-tex 100 standard. They're tested for literally hundreds of dangerous substances like Azo colorants, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol, cadmium, and nickel. Our dyes meet or exceed the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) regarding lead and the European Chemical Regulation (REACh).

"Best turtleneck ever. The fabric is deliciously soft, thick and stretchy. I am petite with narrow shoulders and a small bust and the small fit me perfectly (except for the sleeves needing to be cuffed, which was expected). Sometimes the necks of turtlenecks are too constricting for me but this was not too snug."
"I am slowly replacing a majority of my tees with tees and blouses from Fair Indigo, I like them that much! I do wish there was a heavier fabric turtleneck for winter, but must say I like this midweight turtleneck a whole lot! Practically live in it all fall and winter, layers well with an FI jewel neck tee underneath. As to other FI tees, I really like the neck band on the Women's Organic Cotton Scoop Neck Long Sleeve Tee, but don't like the spandex. Wish they would offer that style in 100% cotton in the scoop and in a higher crew neck style (like the Organic Cotton Long Sleeve Tee at a major retailer starting with T). Overall, I remain a devoted Fair Indigo fan and am deeply grateful for the company's business model. Thanks!"

"Beautiful quality: Color is nice, fabric is soft and stretchy and comfy on skin. I usually get a SM size but ordered a M in case of shrinkage. I have not yet washed it and that will be the test as to how I order in future. Fits fine in M as is. Got it in deep teal also, pretty color. Importantly, no spandex or other "forever substances", but interlock weave for stretchiness instead! Why is everyone not making fabrics with such an excellent solution to a serious and overwhelming problem? I vote for Fair Indigo with my wallet and my deep appreciation. p"
