Ingenious! Stretch without spandex
This garment's fabric: Luxe
Our signature all-cotton interlock Luxe is incredibly soft & silky. but its ingenuity is its ability to stretch without spandex. This is called mechanical stretch, achieved by the meticulously designed structure of the yarns. The fabric is washed before it's cut and sewn, an uncommon but very beneficial step. It minimizes shrinking over time (when following care instructions) and also prevents puckering and twisting around seams that often happens in your dryer when sewing threads shrink but fabric doesn't. Luxe fabric is used on many of our dresses, our all-cotton leggings, and in our most luxurious t-shirts. True investment-quality fabric!

"Beautiful quality: Color is nice, fabric is soft and stretchy and comfy on skin. I usually get a SM size but ordered a M in case of shrinkage. I have not yet washed it and that will be the test as to how I order in future. Fits fine in M as is. Got it in deep teal also, pretty color. Importantly, no spandex or other "forever substances", but interlock weave for stretchiness instead! Why is everyone not making fabrics with such an excellent solution to a serious and overwhelming problem? I vote for Fair Indigo with my wallet and my deep appreciation. p"

"I have 7 other Fair Indigo tees in different styles and colors, all in size medium, which is my usual size. I decided to order this 100% organic cotton turtleneck (in black) in size large for a more relaxed fit, and I'm glad I did. My size medium tees are quite fitted, and this tee feels even more comfortable than my other Fair Indigo tees. I'm 5'8" and 135 pounds, with a rectangular shape. The fabric is soft, the tee is well made, the neck is comfy, and the long sleeves fit my long arms. (My size medium, long sleeve tees from Fair Indigo are also long enough for my long arms. )"
